In their devotion to the principles of 'Intelligent Beauty,' and in appreciation to the Arizona Asian community, Rolf Lohse was asked to judge this year's Miss Asia Arizona beauty contest . Rolf also sponsored the event by providing pamper-perfect prizes for all the winners.

The goal of the Miss Asia Arizona Pageant is to showcase young Asian women in a high quality production that will best represent their Asian culture, beauty, intelligence and talent. The candidates develop personal growth, leadership, self-esteem, friendships, and teamwork. Most importantly, the women also develop their self-confidence to a level where they can challenge themselves to achieve those goals with diligence, grace, intellect and style. The Pageant also displays the rich ethnic diversity of our society and gives us a glimpse of the many different cultures that surround us today.

As part of Rolf’s philosophy, the Miss Asia Arizona Pageant’s success is not only because of the wonderfully talented candidates who participate in the competition, but also because of the endless support from volunteers and members of the community. The dedicated volunteers give their time, expertise, creativity and enthusiasm to produce outstanding shows; in return, they come away with new friendships, skills and fun memorable moments. The pageant depends on this community support as a vital factor toward the financial stability of the overall pageant.

The Miss Asia Arizona Pageant began in November 2002. Founder, Gene Flores, Owner and Producer of CityHits Production, had a vision of uniting the growing Asian/Pacific Islander community in Arizona, and creating an event that would serve as a platform for a nobler cause and to promote its objectives. As an Entertainer and former Mr. Asia of California, he has the 'passion' of sharing his skill, talent, creativeness, and ability to mentor people in order for them to achieve their dreams and making those dreams into a reality.

His objective has defined Asian Women in Arizona with a sense of purpose and contribution to the growing community and to challenge conventional notions of beauty, culture, and intelligence by emphasizing not merely on appearance but also beauty that radiates within. Beauty Intelligence makes these Asian Women of Arizona leaders in a forum with a voice to be heard and to be shared. The pageant is held as a yearly gathering where beauties all over Arizona stand side by side with a common goal, and that is to be a vital contribution to humanity! This pageant encourages young aspiring Asian Women of Arizona to reach new heights and to work hard to make their dreams a reality.
