Scottsdale Fashion Week Highlights
Rolf's and Scottsdale Fashion Week: Nov. 2007
Spread over a five day period in November every year, the Scottsdale Fashion Week is fashion, design, beauty, health and fine-living event anchored by an 85-foot runway under the stars, and the dramatic urban landscape of downtown Scottsdale.
Rolf Lohse, in the spirit of celebrating the talent of his artist’s center stage for the night and giving back something to the community, was featured on the catwalk as a main event Saturday night. Filled with intense excitment and surprise Rolf's presentation received the evening only standing ovation. Over ten additional high fashion runway shows occur over four days including a luxury-pavilion and a Milan-style Wearable ArtWalk.
Rolf states that Fashion Week is a platform where his top artists can express themselves—a stage to both have fun yet inspire both themselves and the audience. “It’s a time to present various aspects of Intelligent Beauty, pride in our wonderful professionals, and our appreciation for the community we serve. We’re committed to bringing the best of the world to the Phoenix valley.” Last year’s theme presented over-the-top and yet beautiful images from five continents; Africa, North American, Europe, Asia, and South America.
“Scottsdale Fashion Week is a showcase for our world-class design, art, nightlife and shopping scenes that are second to none,” said Rachel Sacco, president of Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It’s the perfect complement to all the powerful reasons visitors are lured here each year: our beautiful weather, championship golf, luxury resorts and spas, and innovative restaurants. Now, our visitors have one more reason to choose Scottsdale in November.
